In 1970 Rounder Records started with the idea of releasing records by some of the brightest young players in traditional music along with the originators who inspired those young players. Now, to celebrate our 25th anniversary it seems fitting togo back through the vaults and weave together for the first time in one collection folk masters like Mississippi John Hurt and Woody Guthrie with modern day torch-bearers like Rory Block and John McCutcheon.
