Something exciting is happening in Melbourne at the moment. The sounds of early 90's shoe-gaze is finding a resurgence in a host of bands who were barely babies the first time around. Flyying Colours represent the best of what shoe-gaze can be � an energetically mesmerizing live show wrapped up with beautiful boy/girl harmonies and pounding rhythms, poking through a reverb-drenched sound-scapeAfter a year of unhinged gigs, blowing up amps and writing in their sharehouse/clubhouse in Melbourne's Inner North, Flyying Colours finally settled into a four-piece adding Gemma permanently on guitar and BVs, and bunkered down to finesse the final aspects of their sound. Enlisting producer Woody Annison at Melbourne's Red Door Studios to capture said sound was a stroke of genius, the whole gang creating an instant report (some may say too much) but somehow - ten days later - the Flyying Colours EP was born.Flyying Colours EP is a great taste of what this enigmatic new band are capable of and what's brewing in Melbourne's shoe-gaze scene at the moment, but seeing their raw power live on stage is still a must for anyone that wants to see shoe-gaze done right.
