Ben Webster - Live At Stampen, Stockholm

Features music recorded from three separate dates at Stockhom's Stampen jazz club. On each of these sessions Webster would be joined by a visiting major jazz star, including Ed Thigpen, Teddy Wilson, Red Mitchell and Roffe Ericson. The eight tunes (rarely clocking in at under eight minutes!) capture a playful and enthusiastic Webster (listen out for his shouts of encouragement to his fellow players) as he obviously relishes every minute of being on the band stand.
