In Songs for Eternity, Ute temper brings to life compositions and lyrics by Jewish musicians and artists that were written inconcentration camps during World War II and entrusted to her inthe form of a songbook by her agent, Orly Beigel. This moving concert film documents the two in Bergen-Belsen, where Orly'smother was imprisoned and later liberated by the U.S. Army froma train near Farsleben in 1945. With great sensitivity and depth, Ute temper brilliantly reveals the range of emotions of the internedcomposers and pays a heartfelt musical tribute to their profound wartime experiences.
