Stan Rogers - Home In Halifax

It is testament to Stan Rogers' impact as a songwriter that 40 years after his sudden tragic death in a fire aboard an airplane in 1983 at the young age of 33 - people young and old are still singing his songs and celebrating his influence. His songs Northwest Passage, Barrett's Privateers and The Mary Ellen Carter are woven into the fabric of North American Maritime culture.

Home in Halifax is a live album recorded by the CBC at theRebecca Cohn Auditorium inHalifax,Nova Scotia in March 1982. Through the concert Rogers plays many of his dearly beloved songs including Bluenose, The Idiot, Workin' Joe, The Mary Ellen Carter and Barrett's Privateers.
