Louis Armstrong - A Rare Batch of Satch

The Poll Winners label is devoted to the reissue of albums that received the maximum 5-Star review ratings in the iconic jazz magazine, DownBeat, this release includes the complete original LP A Rare Batch of Satch (RCA Victor LPM-2322). It was released in 1962 and contained some of the best sides Louis Armstrong recorded for the Victor and Bluebird labels in the 1930s. They have completed this CD with further tunes from the same sessions, including the only existing testimony of Satchmo playing with pianist Teddy Wilson, and the Chick Webb Orchestra.
