Howard Riley - Consequences

Pianist Howard Riley has been since the 1970's one of the legendary figures of contemporary British jazz and improvised music. Often compared to Cecil Taylor, he has his own distinctive approach. His use of graphic frameworks mixed with conventional musical notation has created a large international following - especially via his contributions to the London Jazz Composers Orchestra, alongside bassist Barry Guy.

'Consequences' is a masterly solo piano album, recorded in the studio in 2003 in just one take, from one of the world leaders of the genre.
