This 180 gram red virgin vinyl LP reissue of the 1958 Bluenote album �Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers� includes two bonus tracks recorded live at the Olympia, Paris with the same personnel, also in 1958. Together with Art Blakey on drums the line-up includes Lee Morgan on trumpet, Benny Golson on tenor saxophone, Bobby Timmons on piano and Jymie Merritt on bass . The specially prepared liner notes are by Penguin Guide to Jazz�s writer Brian Morton and by France�s prestigious Jazz Magazine.
