Ed Rennie - Narrative

Ed Rennie is a new singer to emerge on the folk scene. Not surprisingly, his repertoire thus far has been shaped by his punchy, patently powerful and precise performances as a box player with the popular and dynamic band, The Bismarks. Since early 2003, Ed has been quietly building a parallel reputation as a fine singer of traditional ballads and songs. He has a stong, clear voice, able to present the story of a ballad, for instance, directly to the listener without the slightest distraction. He has the unique ability (which distils out the quality singer) of making himself subordinate to a song, enabling it's full effect to be felt. Ed accompanies himself on melodeon, guitar and citern as well singer a cappela.
