Maddie Southorn - The Pilgrim Soul

Maddie Southorn is a relative new comer to the folk scene, but has been singing on the music circuit in the south west for a number of years. Her first self financed album Unlikely Prom Queen was referred to by Net Rhythms as �having quality stamped all over it. Her live performances have also delighted audiences, not only at home where she secured a reputation as a sensitive and charismatic artist, but also in London and as far afield as New York. She has now recorded The Pilgrim Soul with session musicians including Nancy Kerr, Steve Lawrence (ex-Iron Horse) and Karen Tweed. Her own writing and interpretations of traditional songs demonstrate a real feel for the music, as does her powerful piano accompaniment.
