CPO is pleased to present Cartellieri's Complete Symphonies performed by the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Gernot Schmalfuss. It is this conductor whom we have to thank for rediscovering two missing symphonies.Cartellieri's music bears the audible mark of Beethoven's influence but very much displays early romantic influences of its own.
