Boy Com bring the big band experience to a post-urban generation. Describing themselves as kick ass party hip hop, the 9-piece (whose name is short for 'Boy Communication') make the perfect soundtrack to any debaucherous house-party. Boasting the phattest beats, the smoothest bass lines, the raunchiest brass and the silkiest choruses, Boy Com are the stylish live eargasm that the alternative UK Hip-Hop scene has been waiting for. Boy Com is the wildchild of half American, half Belgian, dejay, producer and emcee Noah Sacr, whose distinctive half-sung drawl decorates an architecture of 60s soul, 70s funk and 80s hip hop with mischievous 90s fraternity-raps. Boy Com's story began at High School in the south of France, when a love of all things melodious brought harmony between Noah and fellow international students Ali Hill (vocals) and 'Worldwide' Webster (guitar). As a gifted turntablist and musician, a vibrant French Hip-Hop scene proved the perfect training ground for Noah and friends. Upon reaching UK shores, Noah recruited BOY COM band members Sam (bass), Dom (drums), Joe (keys), John (sax) and Ben (trombone) whilst at university in Bath. They completed their line up (and a move to Brighton in search of more inspiring contemporary surroundings) with Moth (trumpet) and hit the road.As testimony to their all-embracing, party-like live set, Boy Com have added a wealth of friends in their so-far short tenure. Having shared the stage with artists as revered as Alice Russell, Ugly Duckling, Wax Tailor, The Black Seeds and Finley Quaye, Boy Com are also championing a superfluity of remixes for 'Who Needs 'Em Anyway?' from a force of talented artists both eminent and unknown. Remix contributions for 'Who Needs 'Em Anyway?' include from the nonchalant grooves of international hip hoppers ASM, 'yazz' flutes from French mega-producer Wax Tailor's band Ludivine Issambourg, Brighton's fanatical drumming/synth live remix duo AK/DK, Cannes' own Justice approved electro dejay Irish Steph, blas beats from French Hip Hop remixer G.Bonson and British dance from Eagles For Hands and eleven8. Boy Com, who refresh live Hip Hop with big smiles and beating hearts, are without doubt an experience to behold this summer.
