Benny Greb, Chris Montague & Kit Downes - Moving Parts

The debut album by a powerhouse trio led by German drummer Benny Greb, 'Moving Parts' also features the British musicians Kit Downes (keyboards) and Chris Montague (guitar). Relentless grooves combined with jazzy improvisations. Electronic lucidness mixed with dirty indie sounds.

Up until now, Greb has been heard either as an extremely musical sideman playing on countless studio productions, assisting artists like Thomas D., Stoppok, Nils W�lker, Ron Spielman Trio or Colin Towns' Blue Touch Paper, or has been admired for his craft as an award-winning musician and master of his instrument at drum festivals and masterclasses and on YouTube clips.

The supremely-talented Kit Downes was nominated for 2010 Mercury Music Prize and the 'Rising Star' by the Downbeat Magazine in 2013. Aside from being an excellent guitarist, Chris Montague also excels as a composer and has been appointed an associate member of the Royal Academy of Music. On 'Moving Parts' the trio focusses on intense interaction, the musicians have dedicated themselves to a groove-oriented sound overlaid with jazzy improvisation.
