This release marks the half way mark for this ambitious series. This double CD contains 35 tracks and lasts 120 minutes. The recordings were made in 1945 and feature the then current team of star soloists, and among the great tracks is a superb version of Emancipation Celebration from Ellington's Black, Brown And Beige suite.
