Leon Berben was able to use two of the most famous early baroque organs in Germany for his complete recording of organ works by Matthias Weckmann (ca. 1616-1674): the Hans Scherer organ (1624) in St. Stephen's Church in Tangermunde and the Friedrich Stellwagen organ (1636) in St. Jakobi Church in Lubeck. Both authentic instruments are wonderfully preserved and have been restored in exemplary fashion.
