Russell Morris completes his blues trilogy with 'Red Dirt Red Heart'.While 'Red Dirt Red Heart' has an underlining story regarding indigenous people and life in central Australia - such as track Alice Springs - the album also touches on some biographical songs such as God Loves A Sinner and Tiger Snake.The album features the same musicians as on his hit releases 'Sharkmouth' and 'Van Diemen's Land,' including Shannon Bourne on guitar.At the ARIA Music Awards of 2016, the album won Best Blues and Roots Album.
