Catalogue No: ARHCD324
Barcode: 096297032428
In Chicago in the 1950s and '60s, Earl Hooker was known for his slide guitar playing. Playing a double-necked electric guitar (12 strings and 6 string frets), Hooker was both a sideman and leader on various recording dates. This collection features selections from sessions recorded for Arhoolie Records in 1968 and 1969 in Chicago, as well as four of his early recordings from 1952 and 1953. The title of this album is associated with his last few years of his life when he was suffering from tuberculosis, an infectious bacterial disease or bug.
