Anastasia Yasko - 20th Century Russian Piano Sonatas

The pianist Anastasia Yasko presents a selection of outstanding Russian piano sonatas from Soviet times. A handful of little known works by Prokofiev, Sviridov, Feinberg and Weinberg will give us a varied picture of the period. Here, different stylistic directions of new music as well as the characteristics of the Russian musical tradition are distinctly represented.
