Emma Ahlberg Ek/Various - Hillevi

In October 2015, musician Emma Ahlberg Ek visited the museum archives in H�rn�sand, Sweden. The purpose of her visit was to discover more about musician Hillevi �berg (1897 - 1979). Among other things, �berg made her living as a fiddler and cinema musician. There were very few mentions of �berg, although she was mentioned by folk music collector K. P. Leffler. After extending her search, Emma Ahlberg Ek managed to track down �berg's son, Rolf Brodin, who told her about his mother's life story through his own memories. On this album Emma Ahlberg Ek explores and revives Hillevi �berg's forgotten legacy.
