Samuel Kummer - Organ Music By Bach & Durufle

On October 30, 2005, not only was the rebuilt Dresden Frauenkirche consecrated, but also the new Kern organ. During the reconstruction, the historic facade was restored, but for the organ itself, in addition to the historically oriented part of the disposition, it was decided to add a further manual movement in the French-Romantic style.This CD recital of the organ shows that the instrument successfully combines the advantages of a historical organ with the technical achievements of a modern concert instrument.
