This musical program is a perfect combination between 2 styles of writing close to 2 Russian composers who lived around the same time. One, Anton Arensky born in 1861, very marked by the influence of Tchaikovsky, the other, Sergei Rachmaninov, born in 1873, also influenced by the great Tchaikovsky, which brings them together in a sense beyond their meeting at the Moscow Conservatory where Rachmaninov studies Harmony, Fugue and Composition with Arensky and Counterpoint with Serge Tane�ev.
