Quirky English pop/rock from the House of Commons! This is the debut album of intelligent originals by Sussex-based four-piece who first met in the 1980s and is led by Norman Baker, the current MP for Lewes. The Reform Club was formed about 20 years ago for live performances in the Sussex area, but this is the group's first album.Three of the band members, Dave Twaits, Chris Dartnell, and Norman joined the band in the 1990s, while Mike Phipps is a recent addition, though Mike and Norman know each other from the early 1980s, and even recorded the odd (never-released) track together at that time. The group's musical influences are many and varied, but with a particular leaning to a very English and slightly quirky pop/rock feel. It has a distict feel of a lost album by the Kinks.
