Primaduo - Works For Two Violins

The sound of a violin duo is very special: two instruments with the same timbre but with distinct, sometimes contrasting but always perfectly attuned. Performing as PimaDuo, siblings Matteo and Maddalena Pippa bring to life a programme of rarely performed and original repertoire for this instrumental combination with empathy and authority. The recording opens with the intense and elaborate Sonata for Two Violins by Ysa�e in its unabridged version, followed by Prokofiev's compelling Sonata Op. 56, and concluding with the world premi�re recording of the Petite Suite pour Tonio Cavilla by Andrea Manzoli.
