The novel is the first in The Wolves Chronicle, a series of books set during the fictional 19th Century reign of King James III, and tells of the adventures of cousins Bonnie and Sylvia in a land terrorized by wolves.Colin Towns, formerly a member of the rock group Gillan, is now an established TV and film soundtrack composer whose credits include Cadfael, Between The Lines, Doc Martin and Dalziel and Pascoe amongst others, as well as a celebrated jazz orchestra leader and composer for large jazz ensembles.
