Tone Scientists - Kiiroi Tori (Banana Peel Yellow Vinyl)

Banana Peel Vinyl. Nearly seven years since their debut seven inch release, Tone Scientists are back with the five song Kiiroi Tori EP. The project joins Mike Watt and Bucky Pope, the latter of whom assumes the producer role this time around, with drummer John Herndon of Tortoise and two longtime Watt collaborators, flute/sax player Vince Meghrouni and keyboard player Pete Mazich. Like their first release, the EP includes an ambitious Sun Ra cover, with their distinctive take on The Sun One, along with four tunes penned by Watt and Pope.
