Barbara Dickson - Answer Me

First released in 1976, Barbara's first pop album, 'Answer Me' was an instant hit and, helped by regular TV appearances on 'The Two Ronnies' and 'Top of the Pops,' saw her go on to become one of the most successful and in-demand singers of the time. Despite the huge success of the album, this release marks its first ever appearance on CD, digitally remastered and featuring several additional bonus tracks, none of which have ever been released on CD before.

Produced by Junior Campbell of 'Marmalade' fame, the album includes the singles 'Answer Me' and 'People Get Ready' as well as the Bill Withers' favourite, 'Lean on Me,' and several songs written by Barbara herself which have gone on to become fan favourites. Bonus tracks include the rare 1975 single, Irving Berlin's 'Blue Skies,' and 'Out of Love With Love' from 1976, neither of which featured on any of Barbara's albums. Completing the set are three scarce 'B-Sides' recorded during the 'Answer Me' sessions.
