ODDLY - ODD MAN OUT

EP by Kyoto Indie rock trio ODDLY. The members were previously known as the quartet Browned Butter alongside a bassist. When the bassist departed, they decided to embrace the bass-less, twin guitar and drum sound, and open up genre-wise, ODDLY was born.

Vocal lines alternate between drummer Kei and guitarist Naoko, whose dead-pan voice draws you in. Tomoyuki adds harmonies. Naoko is a Fazerdaze fan while Kei like Wolf Alice. Their sound recalls the downbeat, hook-laiden, slacker indie rock of Seam, The Drop Nineteens or Swirlies.
