The Davidsb�ndler, initiated by Robert Schumann, were an intellectual brotherhood whose common desire was not least to create new ideas and break up encrusted structures. The spirit of the Davidsb�ndler forms the framework of Ernst Breidenbach's recording of Schumann's Davidsb�ndlert�nze Op.6 and the piano piece Auch ich ein Davidsb�ndler by Marko Zdralek (*1973).
