Shiver & Matthew Bourne - Shiver Meets Matthew Bourne Volume Two

The second meeting between leading pianist Matthew Bourne and the free jazz trio Shiver, recorded at the same session. Volume 2 is a further set of exciting and highly original improvisations hovering between improvised freedom and progressive electronic rock music. Each member of the band spends time in the foreground and background without ever dominating. The group is what's important here, everyone improvising without explicitly soloing. Ideas come, are explored, then fade before new ideas emerge with confidence and patience.
