Johannes Ockeghem (c 1430-1497) was the first of his guild to devote himself in a special way to the composition of masses.

As in his motets, the contrapuntal mastery of the works is fascinating.

The second installment of the recording series with the vocal ensemble 'the sound and the fury' presents the rarely heard four-part masses:
