Just weeks after releasing their Phil Spector-produced fourth album, End Of The Century, New York City punk pioneers Ramones touched down in Paris to record a showcase set for France's flagship late 70s/early 80s music TV show, Chorus TV.

Speeding through ten songs in a little over 20 minutes, the leather-clad Brudders used new tracks such as Rock'n'Roll High School and Do You Remember Rock'n'Roll Radio? to draw a clear connection between their patented pop-punk sound and the beloved bubblegum hits that Spector had masterminded for groups such as The Ronettes and The Crystals in the 60s, and tore the roof off the studio with their original pioneering punk classics Sheena Is A Punk Rocker and I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.

All buzzsaw guitars and impenetrable NYC cool, The 1980 French Broadcast is the ever turbulent Ramones at their ever electrifying best.
