Regis Allard - Louis-Nicolas Cl�rambault, Jean-Fran�ois Dandrieu: Magnificat 1739

In 1739, as Louis Alexandre Clicquot was putting the finishing touches on his organ in Houdan, Jean-Francois Dandrieu Livre was published. In these Magnificat versets, as is the case with his contemporary Nicolas Clerambault, he is intent on 'capturing that noble, elegant simplicity that makes for the organ's particular character', embodying the virtues of balance, variety and perfection that epitomize the French 18th Century.
