Big Mama Thornton - Sassy Mama

This CD captures the legendary blues belter live in Montreal in 1977. Although she only enjoyed one hit, it was a belter. Hound Dog lead Mama onto the hit parade in 1953, but four years later a young pup called Elvis Presley had even bigger success with it. She never again reached those heady heights, but as this live set proves, she was always a force to be reckoned with.
