Grand Devourer - Traversing The Void

A new threat has reared its head from the depths. Grand Devourer have emerged from the depths of the Lower Saxony death metal underground and have prepared a beast of a debut EP with Traversing the Void.

The five guys from Hanover around Christian Lommer - who has already proven his skills in bands such as Critical Mess, Cripper and Moridigan - carry the flame of the HM2 sound tradition into the future without taking the ashes with them. The Swedish sound foundation is extended by brutal walls of sound, black metal frenzy and merciless D-beat attacks.

Traversing the Void is a musical bastion of hatred, filled with the abysses of the human psyche. Between cosmic horror, oppression, the fear of fear, death and loneliness, the band takes the listener into the field of tension between anger in the face of the inevitable and the fear of one's own fragility and weakness. Seven tracks that have gone through a lengthy and painstaking creative process until pure, vicious death steel has been distilled from them.
