Bremer Schlagzeugensemble - Schlag>|<Art Vol. 1

New avant-garde for percussion ensemble The Schlag'|'Art composition series was initiated in 2017 by Olaf Tzschoppe and the Bremen Percussion Ensemble. Since then, numerous works have been created as part of this project, with all compositions written for the Bremen Percussion Ensemble and most published in the Contemporary Music for Percussion Collection Olaf Tzschoppe - Quartet Series Schlag'|'Art by the music publisher Edition Gravis. This album presents the first important musical milestones of the project by composers Zsigmond Szathm�ry, Jan Me�torff, Ulrich Pogoda, Sunjoo Cho, Lothar Voigtl�nder and Andrew Toovey. The Bremen Percussion Ensemble is made up of students and alumni of Prof. Olaf Tzschoppe's percussion class. It is dedicated to intensive collaboration with composers and has performed numerous world and German premieres. Many compositions were created within the framework of the Schlag'I'Art project initiated by the ensemble.
