Salvatore Lanzetti (c. 1710 - c. 1780) was a virtuoso cellist who contributed towards the development of cello technique. He is credited with accomplishing intricate and complex bow and finger work, including double stops. Lanzetti was employed at the Court of Turin from 1727 until his death, but also worked in Paris and London.
