Several known and not so known standards from one of the best-known veterans of the Norwegian jazz scene, saxophonist Harald Bergersen, aged 84 and still going strong. A disciple of fellow saxophonist Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan and Lars Gullin, Harald Bergersen is featured here on baritone saxophone in a quartet of younger musicians keen to perform with their legendary compatriot.
Among the great standards featured are Chelsea Bridge by Billy Strayhorn, A Ballad by Gerry Mulligan, Summer Serenade by Benny Carter, Blues in the Closet by Oscar Pettiford, Undecided by Charlie Shavers and Freight Trane by Tommy Flanagan.
