Backed by his experienced Associates, Cameron Graham, and Julian Simmons - they are My Glass World.Written in a hillside rainstorm in Scotland in the winter of 2012/13. These were deported, and recorded in Din, Limehouse, and Luxury Noise, London, recorded and co-produced with Julian Simmons. The songs are as likely to draw inspiration from New Scientist articles, or Shakespeare, the life of St. Francis of Assisi or Mad Men's Don Draper. Live performances have featured artworks and installations - including photographs used in molecular biology.As you might expect, the music is eclectic and literate - powered by an uncommon lyrical and musical intelligence. The resultant music - animated by Jamie's exceptionally clear and true vocal - is wry, wise, occasionally weird, and utterly fresh.As well as contributions from the three main players, the musical landscape of the new album has been augmented with Baroque Bassoon, Horns, and assorted Woodwind, and a variety of other musical talent, giving the album an impressively varied sound - world. No mellotrons were harmed in the making of their recording.
