Eple Trio - Ghosts - Live in Jakobskirken

In the world of music, focus points and fashion styles may come and go, but examining the possibilities and the art of the trio still remains one of the central activities in jazz. How can the mere fact that three people meet and make music on three basic instruments � piano, double bass, drums � still give us such massive excitement, both as musicians and listeners? Long serving Norwegian unit Eple Trio is such a band, constantly searching for new ways to create or define beauty, with elements of Nordic folk tunes and baroque music all within the context of a modern jazz trio. The excellent performances captured on Ghosts contain selections from the trios five albums released since 2007, seamlessly blending into each other.
