The Cakes' debut album is a premier item for girl group enthusiasts! Among the girl groups that emerged in the 1960s, the three-piece The Cakes created a unique mood. The Cakes were one of the most unique girl groups to emerge in the 60's, and despite having no hits that made it into the US Hot 100, they released two albums in 1967 and 1968, which was unusual for the time.
