The Contours - Do You Love Me

The only powerfully danceable album by one of the leading groups of early Motown is back on vinyl! The Contours, a Detroit soul group known for Do You Love Me (1962), which reached #3 on the US charts. This is their only and beloved album released on the Motown label in the same year. The title track (M-1) was later covered by the Heartbreakers as well as by English groups such as the Dave Clark Five and Brian Poole & the Tremeloes, and together with M-2, also written by Berry Gordy, Jr. They also include many other dance-inspired songs. Nine strong singles tracks are added as bonus tracks!
