Coupling the 1st & 2nd albums of this 5-piece group with fresh harmonies! We Five is a five-piece folk rock group formed by Mike Stewart, the younger brother of John Stewart of the Kingston Trio. Known for their U.S. hit cover of Ian & Sylvia's (M-7), the group breathed fresh choral life into their own compositions and other beautiful songs during their short time together. The first album (1965), titled after the hit song (M-7), is a masterpiece with an acoustic sound and pure enjoyment of the harmony of the five members. The album is full of highlights such as the standard (M-2) made famous by Bobby Darin, the theme song of West Side Story (M-5), and a cover song (M-8) with a sense of speed by Presley. The second album (1967) is no less a masterpiece. M-14, with its melancholy singing, and M-15, a theme song from a musical, are must-listen songs for soft rock fans. The members' red-hot singer, Beverly Vivance, delivers a free and free vocal performance, and the chorus is superb.
