The Seekers - Georgy Girl

The Seekers, who sang the classic song Georgie Girl, a worldwide hit in early 1967, were a modern folk group formed in Australia. Released in the U.S. in 1967, this disc was hastily compiled in response to the hit Georgie Girl, with one song removed and the order of the songs changed from the British release Come the Day. The Seekers' unique pop harmony world, with the plaintive voice of Judith Durham and the male chorus in the background, is a charm that can only be found in the Seekers.
