All the pieces on this album were written for me and are by composers I have come to appreciate and know over the years. They were tailored for me, created in the process of trying thingstogether, asking questions and playing in collaboration, and belong to me, in the sense that I make them audible in my concerts and now on this album.

Dive with me into these diverse worlds of musical narratives! Perhaps you'll unravel the secret cassibels (prison messages) in Amann's piece of the same name, or identify the 45 m- words in the two versions of Lauermann's composition?

Travel with me to a Bulgarian marketplace to listen to the voices and moods in Pantchev's plays. Or be inspired by nature(Pastorale and Winterfries) and slip into one or the other costume at the Mummenschanz, as the clarinet does after Heinisch's production.
