Meininger-Trio - Memories

This splendidly colourful programme comprises pieces often performed by the trio, mainly as encores, pieces that audiences constantly want to hear. This demand led to the highly original idea of making a CD of encores in the wonderful acoustics of the hall of St Blaise Abbey in the High Black Forest region of southwest Germany, a CD that presents a series of musical snapshots for relaxation. The title Memories is taken from the piece of the same name by the young Turkish composer Elif Ebru Sakar, who dedicated the piece to the Meininger Trio in 2016. She has been working with the ensemble since 2012.
