Brighton-based Yakul have carved out a unique space for themselves in the UK Jazz/R&B scene. Identifying as 'Future Soul', the last 2 years has seen the release of their debut album 'Rise Indigo' & self-produced EP 'Outlines'; quickly garnering support from 1Xtra, 6Music, Jazz FM & 2 sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott's. August 2023 saw the band perform an intimate recorded show at PizzaExpress Holborn - the result: a record teaming with pockets of polyrhythmic dexterity, vast harmonies, analogue synthesis & exceptional musicianship. This live album features their own take on classic records via Steve Lacy (Dark Red) and Mac DeMarco (Chamber of Reflection).
