Originally from the small town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, England, RAIDER is yet another excellent example of how the NWOBHM influenced an entire generation in their awakening to music. Formed in 1983 by Nick Singleton and Mark Grimmett (brother of the charismatic Steve Grimmett, lead singer of GRIM REAPER, LIONSHEART, ONSLAUGHT, etc.), RAIDER tried with its two cassette demo recordings to conquer their space in post-83 British Metal scene. The wave of the garage bands had passed and the public was asking for more quality, both in songwriting and productions - and RAIDER brought that!
