Manuel Luna - Romper el Baile

Manuel Luna and his group La Cuadrilla Maquilera trace the evolution and perform the traditional music of Southern Spain. As a multi-instrumentalist and singer Manuel Luna has recorded eight albums to date. On this release he mixes the expressive timbres of several Mediterranean types of guitar (guitarra mayor, tenor flamenca, octavilla and guitarro) with accordion, tambourine and violin over a groundwork of popular percussion and double bass. The effect is a remarkable balance between tradition and contemporary.
