Jeremy Lirola - Mock The Borders

Following bassist Jeremy Lirola's 'Uptown Desire' 2016 (RJAL397023) release with its New York City and M-Base music roots, 'Mock the Borders' presents a program of Lirola original compositions that challenge the limits defined in a world ruled by power and algorithms. It centres his inspiration around Ornette Coleman's musical philosophy of Harmolodics, bringing together elements of 1970s and 1980s jazz-funk, avant-guard jazz, and free jazz.
