Heather Nova has led a life most of us can only dream of. Born in Bermuda, she was raised by her family on a 42-foot-long sailboat plying the Caribbean waters, before heading off to the Rhode Island School of Design and then embarking on a musical career that has spanned over 30 years, 11 albums, six EPs, 12 singles, and sales of over 2 million records. 1994's Oyster was her second album and proved to be her breakthrough, hitting the Billboard Top 200, scoring a Top 20 hit with Walk This World, and displaying her uncannyability to leap effortlessly from ballads to guitar pop to hard rock. All anchored (an appropriate word given her background) by her superlativesongwriting chops.
